Adionics, a pioneer in sustainable direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology, has announced the opening of its new demonstration plant in Güemes, Argentina. The facility is dedicated to testing various brines from Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile. The plant will analyze and test selected brines to gather data crucial for optimizing industrial efficiency. This is Adionics’ third demonstration plant globally.
The inauguration was held under the patronage of Romain Nadal, Ambassador of France to Argentina; Gustavo Saenz, Governor of the Province of Salta; and Flavia Royón, Executive Secretary of the Lithium Table.
Gabriel Toffani, CEO of Adionics, stated, “We will now be able to accelerate our development and gather information to launch basic engineering work for our plants. This project allows us to contribute to local employment and to the local economy.”
Adionics’ innovative technology employs sustainable mineral recovery practices. It minimizes water usage and energy consumption while eliminating the need for chemical reagents, significantly reducing the environmental impact of lithium extraction.
