Stryten Energy LLC, a US-based provider of energy storage solutions, has opened an expanded battery testing laboratory at its headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia. The facility, which became operational on August 26, significantly expands the company’s in-house battery testing and analysis capabilities.

Representatives from the offices of Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, Representatives Rich McCormick and Andrew Clyde, and local community leaders attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the laboratory. Attendees toured the new facility and the on-site solar-plus-storage microgrid.

Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones issued a proclamation recognizing Stryten Energy’s role in advancing energy storage technology in Georgia and its importance to U.S. energy independence and security.

The expanded lab consists of three main sections:

  1. Corporate Materials Lab: Conducts tests on battery materials utilized in automotive, heavy-duty commercial, industrial, lithium, and vanadium redox flow batteries.
  2. Lead Battery Test Lab: Performs electrical performance and teardown testing on automotive, industrial, and heavy-duty commercial batteries.
  3. Lithium Battery Test Lab: Focuses on non-destructive functional charge/discharge, environmental, and UL-related testing for lithium battery products.

Mike Judd, CEO and President of Stryten Energy, noted the importance of diverse energy storage solutions for U.S. energy resiliency and security. The expanded lab is expected to facilitate collaboration with customers to explore new applications for various battery chemistries and enhance existing ones.

The laboratory aims to serve as a reference for other local energy technology companies, potentially strengthening Georgia’s position in the clean energy sector.

Stryten Energy provides energy storage solutions across Essential Power, Motive Power, Transportation, Military, and Government sectors. The company’s technologies include advanced lead, lithium, and vanadium redox flow batteries, intelligent chargers, and energy performance management software.
