Volkswagen Group is enhancing its charging and fueling services by merging LOGPAY Transport Services GmbH, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Financial Services AG, with the mobility service units of Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH (Elli). This strategic consolidation aims to provide seamless mobility services and an expanded range of solutions for both business and private customers transitioning to electric mobility. The new entity, Elli Mobility GmbH, will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH (Elli), with operations expected to commence in March 2025.

Giovanni Palazzo, CEO of Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH (Elli), stated that bringing these services under one roof increases synergies and creates a robust, competitive offering. “It not only meets the needs of customers with electric vehicles but also addresses the growing demands of households and fleets that include combustion engine cars,” Palazzo said. This move positions Volkswagen as a leading mobility provider in Europe, catering to a diverse market during a critical phase of e-mobility transformation.

Anthony Bandmann, Chief Sales Officer of Volkswagen Financial Services AG, emphasized the natural fit of the merger. “By bringing together LOGPAY Transport with Elli’s MSP and fleet activities, we strengthen the crucial business of charging and fueling cards within the Volkswagen Group,” Bandmann explained. “This move reduces redundancies and allows us to offer our customers everything from a single source in the future.”

Elli Mobility GmbH represents Volkswagen’s commitment to driving the transition to sustainable mobility while meeting the varied needs of the market. By combining LOGPAY’s expertise in charge and fuel card services with Elli’s advanced e-mobility solutions, the new company will offer intelligent charging and fueling services for both fully electric and mixed fleets, including combustion and hybrid vehicles.

Customers will benefit from streamlined operations with a single contractual partner for all fuel, charging, and carwash services. They will have access to innovative products, including comprehensive solutions for home and workplace charging, as well as digital services for fueling and washing. Additionally, the expanded coverage across Europe ensures accessibility and convenience for diverse fleet needs.

Leadership of the new company will be assumed by CEO Joschi Jennermann and CFO Sebastian Steffen. Their focus will be on guiding Elli Mobility GmbH to provide comprehensive mobility solutions that align with Volkswagen’s vision for the future of transportation.
