ANDRITZ Recycling is a division of the global ANDRITZ Group, focusing on technological solutions for waste processing and material recovery. With headquarters in Austria, the company draws on over 160 years of the parent group’s engineering and equipment manufacturing experience to provide systems for various recycling applications.

ANDRITZ Recycling offers equipment and complete plant solutions for handling complex materials, contributing to reduced landfill dependency and supporting resource recovery. The company addresses diverse waste streams, aiming to provide solutions that align with requirements for environmental protection and efficient material utilization.

Battery Technology

ANDRITZ Recycling provides specialized equipment and process solutions for the battery recycling sector, with a focus on the mechanical pre-treatment of lithium-ion batteries. This stage is essential for dismantling and processing spent batteries to produce “black mass,” which contains valuable materials like lithium, cobalt, nickel, and graphite. The company’s technologies, including the ADuro shredders, are designed for the safe and efficient size reduction of batteries.

ANDRITZ also offers drying systems and closed-loop processing to manage materials safely and minimize emissions. Through a collaboration with Duesenfeld, ANDRITZ acts as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) provider for battery recycling plants, integrating Duesenfeld’s patented processes with its own mechanical equipment. This partnership is aimed at enabling the recovery of battery materials for reintroduction into manufacturing streams.
