ATLBattery India established the country’s largest lithium-ion battery plant on a 180-acre site in Haryana near Gurugram, investing about $73 million to support the domestic and export markets for lithium-ion batteries, especially for EVs and mobile devices. Key partnerships include Group14 Technologies and AM Batteries for battery material innovation, CATL for EV and battery projects, and Indian R&D centers like ISRO and CSIR-CECRI. ATLBattery India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Amperex Technology Limited (ATL), which is owned by TDK Corporation of Japan. There are no external or venture capital investors; all funding and capital infusion come from ATL/TDK. The company’s authorized capital is ₹30.0 billion and paid-up capital is ₹28.2 billion as of FY2025. A significant investment includes ₹5.5 billion for the acquisition of 180 acres in Haryana for its manufacturing plant.
