The 5th International Sodium Battery Symposium (SBS-5) is set to take place in Berlin. This event follows the growing interest in sodium battery technology, driven by its implementation in electric vehicles, power tools, and stationary energy storage systems by companies worldwide.
SBS-5 continues the series of symposiums previously held in Jena, Dresden, and Berlin since 2018. This year’s event will be an in-person meeting accommodating approximately 250 participants. The symposium will feature over 25 presentations by renowned speakers covering key topics in sodium battery research and development.
The main focus areas include:
- Electrodes and liquid electrolytes for sodium-ion batteries
- Electrodes and electrolytes for sodium solid-state batteries
- Intermediate and high-temperature sodium batteries
- Progress towards commercialization
This symposium provides a platform for researchers, industry professionals, and experts to share advancements in sodium battery technology and discuss its future applications.
