Beyonder AS, a Norwegian battery technology company, and Leclanché SA, a Swiss provider of energy storage solutions, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore collaboration on large-scale battery production in Germany. The MoU sets the foundation for negotiations aimed at developing the manufacturing process and scaling up production of Beyonder’s proprietary BePowered cell at Leclanché’s facility in Willstätt, Germany.

Under this agreement, Leclanché will utilize its advanced manufacturing capabilities to produce Beyonder’s unique cell chemistry. The partnership focuses on combining Beyonder’s innovative battery technology with Leclanché’s expertise in energy storage solutions to create high-performance and sustainable energy storage systems. This includes the integration of Beyonder’s advanced cell chemistry with Leclanché’s water-based electrode binding processes, aiming to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the batteries produced.

Both companies are committed to using sustainable materials and processes, aligning their efforts with global initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and promote clean energy. The collaboration will also explore synergies in production capacity and the pooling of expertise to advance their mutual goals in the energy storage sector.
