Role Overview
The Business Development Manager for the Motion division will oversee commercial activities in the Belgium region, focusing on OEMs, dealers, and large end-users within industrial segments, including specialized markets such as cold stores. This role involves managing factory deliveries and aftermarket sales, identifying customer needs, and presenting tailored energy solutions aimed at optimizing fleets and realizing cost savings. The position requires strategic agility and proactive relationship building within an international organization offering significant opportunities and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with OEMs, dealers, and large end-users in Belgium.
- Drive sales for both factory deliveries and aftermarket segments, with a focus on industrial markets, including cold stores.
- Analyze customer needs and proactively present innovative energy solutions to optimize operations and reduce costs.
- Acquire new customers and expand business opportunities through strategic outreach and relationship management.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to prepare offers and deliver tailored technical solutions.
- Plan and independently execute sales activities, monitoring KPIs, budgets, and targets to meet business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with proven experience and success in B2B sales of industrial or technical products.
- Strong commercial drive, a hunter mentality, and results-oriented approach.
- Technical affinity to understand and discuss technical product solutions confidently.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with KPIs, budgets, and sales targets.
- Strong analytical skills and solid market knowledge.
- Ability to independently plan and execute sales activities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications/Additional Skills
- Experience in the engines, power transmission, or transportation equipment manufacturing sectors.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Adaptability to an international business environment and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
