Role Overview

The Customer Solution Engineer based in Frankfurt will play a key role in supporting and expanding LG Chem’s business across the EMEA region. This position is responsible for driving application development projects, providing tailored technical solutions to customers, and coordinating collaborative technical initiatives. The role demands strong communication and analytical skills to effectively support customers and internal teams, contributing to the company’s growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support application development projects across diverse industries to introduce LG Chem products and increase market share within EMEA.
  • Identify customer needs through online and offline meetings; deliver technical solutions with comprehensive documentation, collaborating closely with internal experts.
  • Initiate and coordinate technical projects with customers and partners to ensure successful execution.
  • Assist in customer-led trials, production processes, and co-development activities.
  • Manage complaint handling processes to resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Monitor market and technology trends to identify new applications and business opportunities; share insights to prepare the team for future developments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Polymer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Structured, responsible, and independent work style with a growth mindset.
  • Business fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in German, French, Spanish, Polish, Italian, or Korean is a plus.
  • Proficient user of MS Office programs.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a customer, service, and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% within the EMEA region without visa restrictions.
  • Valid class B driving license.
