Role Overview

As a Data Analyst specializing in battery cell testing within PowerCo’s technical development department, you will play a key role in lithium-ion battery R&D. Your expertise will support data management, advanced data analysis, and automation processes critical to testing and validating battery cell prototypes. Collaborating closely with engineering and IT teams, you will help optimize data workflows and contribute to cutting-edge battery innovation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and architect data systems to support battery cell R&D processes.
  • Develop and implement automated data analysis and visualization tools using scripting languages and programming.
  • Apply advanced mining algorithms, including AI, machine learning, and deep learning, to analyze test data.
  • Collaborate with PowerCo IT to design, code, test, and deploy standardized software solutions for battery cell validation.
  • Ensure quality and integrity of big data sets for lithium-ion cell testing and validation activities.
  • Communicate technical data findings effectively with battery cell engineers and international teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in electronics, physics, computer science, or other STEM-related fields.
  • Strong expertise in big data processing, automation, and data visualization using scripting languages.
  • Proven knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
  • Proficiency in Python, Matlab, JMP, SQL, and Tableau software.
  • Experience with intelligent algorithms such as machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence.
  • Solid understanding of database and cloud storage systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate internationally.
  • Fluency in English or German.

Preferred Qualifications/Additional Skills

  • Familiarity with battery technologies and battery testing environments.
  • Professional experience in the automotive industry preferred.
  • Experience with test and data management systems.
  • Strong communication skills in multicultural and international settings.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
