Role Overview

The Quality System Engineer will develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned to IATF 16949 standards. You will ensure QMS processes are properly defined, deployed, and continuously improved, promote quality awareness across all business areas, and support internal and external audits to drive organizational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the QMS based on IATF 16949 standards.
  • Develop and update QMS documentation; manage the Documentation Management System.
  • Stay current on standards and Customer-Specific Requirements (CSRs) and integrate them into processes.
  • Plan and conduct internal and external audits according to IATF 16949 and internal procedures.
  • Analyze QMS performance metrics; initiate corrective and preventive actions for continuous improvement.
  • Support and advise teams in problem-solving and QMS maintenance projects.
  • Coach project teams on QMS requirements and best practices.
  • Assist during IATF 16949 certification audits.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality System management, preferably in battery, automotive, chemical, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with IATF 16949; auditor certification is a plus.
  • Experience developing processes, standards, and documentation to meet IATF and customer requirements.
  • Internal/external auditing experience (VDA 6.3 advantage).
  • Proficiency with quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, 5 Whys, etc.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and promote risk-based thinking.

Preferred Qualifications/Additional Skills

  • IATF 16949 auditor certificate.
  • Experience with VDA 6.3 audits.
  • Familiarity with Customer-Specific Requirements and automotive process approach.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to drive cross-functional initiatives.
