Lead Intelligent Equipment has secured a significant contract with FAAM – Energy Saving Battery, a subsidiary of Seri Industrial S.p.A., to deliver an advanced end-of-line (EOL) lithium battery production solution for FAAM’s new Teverola 2 facility near Naples, Italy. This partnership aims to enhance FAAM’s manufacturing capabilities with a state-of-the-art setup designed to achieve an annual production capacity of 8 gigawatt-hours (GWh).
The Teverola 2 plant will incorporate multiple high-efficiency lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery production lines, positioning it as a key contributor to Europe’s battery manufacturing landscape. This development supports the European Union’s objectives for green energy transition and sustainability by expanding local battery production and reducing reliance on imports.
