TitanAES’s IonSight system uses proprietary ultrasound-based diagnostics and machine learning algorithms to provide real-time, non-destructive analysis of battery cells at the molecular level. It integrates into existing manufacturing processes to detect defects and measure state of charge (SoC) and state of health (SoH).
The IonSight™ system delivers non-destructive, real-time cell morphology analysis and identifies manufacturing anomalies. It achieves a 15-25% increase in daily charge capacity, up to a 30% extension in battery life, enhanced safety through early defect detection, and improved string balancing via cell-level monitoring.
In collaboration with Honeywell’s Battery Manufacturing Excellence Program, TitanAES integrated its ultrasound inspection technology to enable real-time, in-line detection of manufacturing defects and enhance battery quality control.
In 2021, Titan Advanced Energy Solutions raised $33M in Series B funding led by HG Ventures. Other participants in the round included H+ Partners, GS Futures, GS Energy, Doral Energy-Tech Ventures, Fortistar, Energy Innovation Capital, SE Ventures, and MassVentures.
