Comprehensive lithium-ion battery manufacturing equipment covering electrode preparation (mixers, high-speed coaters, gravure printing), laser drying, calendering, slitting, notching, cell assembly (winding, stacking), electrolyte filling, and formation/testing. Innovations include a dry process electrode production solution for cost and density improvements, equipment for solid-state (lithium metal anodes) and sodium-ion batteries, and systems for hydrogen energy components (CCM, GDL).
Equipment portfolio includes mixers; single/double-deck and gravure printing coaters; laser dryers; calendering, slitting, notching machines; winding and stacking systems; electrolyte filling and formation/testing apparatus. Recent models feature dry electrode manufacturing lines, integrated electrode slitting/processing systems, next-generation electrolyte filling technology, second-generation thermal lamination stackers, and continuous ultra-thin lithium metal anode production equipment.
Between 2024 and 2025, KATOP showcased dry electrode lines, integrated slitting/processing, next-generation electrolyte filling, second-generation thermal lamination stackers, and ultra-thin lithium metal anode production at CIBF 2025 in Shenzhen. It is executing projects in 20+ countries with technology transfer in Southeast Asia and India, and supporting sodium-ion battery manufacturing facilities in Europe in partnership with Moll Batterien.
In 2023, KATOP Automation received strategic investments from BYD, Amperex Technology (ATL), Cnano Technology, Highpower International, and State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC).
