Company Overview

LiTHOS Technology develops and implements sustainable lithium extraction solutions for the battery industry using patent-pending AcQUATM technology that enables efficient lithium production without traditional evaporation ponds. The company’s modular approach supports scalable operations across geographies while maintaining high extraction efficiency and minimal environmental impact. Headquarters are in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Battery Technology

LiTHOS’s AcQUATM technology employs advanced electro-pressure membrane processes for direct lithium extraction from brine, covering brine conditioning, pre-treatment, direct lithium extraction, polishing and purification to battery-grade lithium feedstock without additional freshwater. The modular system achieves high recovery rates and effective impurity removal. Complementary TiERRATM technology further enhances extraction efficiency and has been tested on salars in Chile, Argentina, and the Smackover reservoir in the United States.

Products

AcQUATM: a modular direct lithium extraction system handling all production phases from brine conditioning to battery-grade lithium feedstock with high recovery and low environmental impact; TiERRATM: complementary technology enhancing overall extraction performance.

Recent Projects

2023 U.S. patent granted for the electro-pressure membrane extraction method; received Phase II funding from the U.S. Department of Energy FASTRACK program and pursuing Phase III commercialization grants; successfully tested AcQUATM on SQM’s Salar de Atacama brine with excellent lithium yield recovery.

Investors

Raised $3.5M in FYE 2024 financing; received a $250,000 grant from the Colorado Advanced Industries Clean-Tech startup program; received a $1.3M grant from the U.S. Department of Energy; publicly traded on the Canadian Securities Exchange (ticker: LITS).
