The Zeekr 007 GT Estate has been announced with a maximum range of 825 kilometers in China, powered by a 100 kWh ternary NMC battery supplied by CATL. This electric estate model is slated for introduction in European markets under the name Zeekr 7 GT.
Zeekr, a premium New Energy Vehicle (NEV) brand established by Geely Group in 2021, has expanded its lineup to six models over four years, with plans to introduce three additional vehicles this year. The Zeekr 007 GT Estate is the seventh model and is expected to commence sales in the second quarter of 2024.
On February 17, the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology disclosed the battery and range specifications for the Zeekr 007 GT. The vehicle is built on the PMA2+ platform, which also supports the Zeekr 007 sedan. This platform is derived from the SEA modular architecture developed by Zeekr Technology Europe, based in Sweden. The estate model has undergone road testing alongside competitors such as the Porsche Taycan and Audi RS6.
The base version of the Zeekr 007 GT is equipped with a 75 kWh LFP battery, developed by CATL and Zeekr, referred to as the Golden Brick Battery. This model features advanced DC charging technology, enabling the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 10.5 minutes using an 800V high-voltage system. The top-tier variant includes a 100 kWh CATL ternary NMC battery, also utilizing the 800V system, capable of adding 610 kilometers of range in 15 minutes. Zeekr claims this is the highest performance among mass-produced electric vehicles.
Under CLTC conditions, the range specifications for the Zeekr 007 GT are as follows:
- Zeekr 007 GT RWD with a 75 kWh LFP battery: 650 km
- Zeekr 007 GT 4WD with a 75 kWh LFP battery: 585 km
- Zeekr 007 GT RWD with a 100 kWh NMC battery: 825 km
- Zeekr 007 GT 4WD with a 100 kWh NMC battery: 730 km
To address ground clearance limitations found in the sedan model, the Zeekr 007 GT Estate is equipped with air suspension and offers an optional tow hook. The model is scheduled for launch in the Chinese market in the second quarter of 2024 and will subsequently be available in Europe as the Zeekr 7 GT. Currently, Zeekr vehicles are available in several European countries, including the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden.
