Battery Safety Summit 2026 (16th Annual) is a two-day conference in Chicago focused on safety for lithium-ion and next-generation batteries. The program brings together researchers, engineering staff, OEM safety teams, test laboratory personnel, standards developers, and regulatory representatives to examine testing, modeling, and management approaches that address thermal, mechanical, and electrochemical risks. Sessions are organized into materials-for-safety and engineering-for-safety streams and cover topics such as thermal runaway mitigation, battery management system safety, cell monitoring, abuse-tolerance testing, charging practices, and forensic analysis. The summit includes technical presentations, poster sessions, and an exhibition area, with opportunities for speaker proposals, sponsorship, and group registration. It is organized by Cambridge EnerTech and is co-located with the Solid State Battery Summit.
