European Battery Recycling & Repurposing 2026 is a two-day conference taking place on 1–2 December 2026 in Berlin, Germany, at the SANA Berlin Hotel. The event is organized as a forum for professionals working across the battery value chain, with a focus on recycling, repurposing, traceability, and end-of-life management. It addresses the growing need for practical approaches to battery circularity as electric vehicle use and stationary storage deployment increase across Europe.
The conference program is centered on regulatory, technical, and commercial topics that affect battery reuse and recycling operations. Sessions cover the EU Battery Regulation, including producer responsibility and Article 61 obligations, along with digital battery passports and lifecycle traceability. Other themes include closed-loop supply chains, material recovery, feedstock access, black mass processing, and the use of retired batteries in second-life storage systems. The agenda also looks at the economics of reuse versus recycling, liability and safety issues, partner selection, and investment planning.
The event is designed for OEMs, battery manufacturers, recyclers, utilities, energy storage developers, policymakers, investors, and technology providers. It is also relevant to companies involved in collection, refurbishment, raw materials, waste management, compliance, and grid storage. The speaker list includes representatives from Daimler Truck, Fortum, EUCOBAT, Connected Energy, AESC, NHOA Energy, Volklec, Cellcircle, Bosch Rexroth, Saft, Hydrovolt, JLR, and Trina Solar, giving the program a strong industry and policy focus.
Format options include in-person attendance and virtual access. The in-person ticket includes conference access, networking time between sessions, documentation after the event, and meals at the venue. The virtual option provides remote access to the conference sessions and post-event documentation.
