Kongress Batterieforum Deutschland is a three-day professional congress taking place in Berlin with an option for virtual participation. Organized by the Kompetenznetzwerk Lithium-Ionen-Batterien (KLiB) with support from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space, the 2026 edition gathers specialists from industry, research institutions, and public policy to discuss scientific, technical and application-related developments in battery technology. The program opens with broad perspectives on batteries in Germany and continues with sessions on European battery research, production efficiency, material independence, sodium-based systems, aerospace battery solutions, stationary storage, and the role of artificial intelligence in battery development. A poster exhibition highlights outcomes from publicly funded projects, and awards recognize outstanding contributions. The congress is aimed at engineers, researchers, manufacturers, and policy stakeholders involved in battery value chains.
