The LITHIUMSAFE: Battery Safety Workshop 2026 is a two-day technical workshop on September 15–16, 2026 at the Alabama Mobility & Power Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It brings together engineers, manufacturers, safety managers, emergency responders, insurers, regulators and researchers to examine safety challenges associated with lithium-based battery systems. Program elements include expert panel discussions and keynote presentations on cell design, pack integration, transportation, storage, regulation and emergency response. Exhibitors will demonstrate materials, suppression systems and services aimed at reducing risk in design, production and operations. Scheduled networking periods and moderated Q&A sessions provide time for peer discussion of practical approaches and operational practices.
