Battery Technology

GGT’s proprietary technologies include GraphPure™ for purifying natural flake graphite into 99.99% pure, carbon-coated spheres without hydrofluoric acid using electricity, and GraphRenew™ for extracting and purifying graphite from spent lithium-ion batteries with reagent regeneration; modular production scalable to 20,000 tpa.

Recent Projects

In 2024, GGT secured $816,000 from Next Generation Manufacturing Canada for a collaborative project with Calumix Technologies (totaling $3.4 million) and $682,000 from the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network’s R&D Partnership Fund with Rain Carbon Canada Inc.

Investors

In 2023, Green Graphite Technologies raised a $2.1M seed round led by BDC Capital’s Climate Tech Fund and the Sustainable Chemistry Alliance. The company also secured a $1.1M grant from Sustainable Development Technology Canada and $0.5M from PRIMA Quebec.
