Role Overview
As a Key Account Manager at tozero, you will own and grow our most strategic customer relationships—Fortune 500s, global battery manufacturers, and leading automotive OEMs. You’ll drive long-term partnerships by navigating complex procurement cycles, leading C-level conversations, and shaping the future of electrification and recycling. Your work will directly impact our growth and help advance Europe’s transition to a circular economy.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire and expand high-value accounts with Fortune 500s, global battery players, and automotive OEMs.
- Develop customized account strategies aligned with customers’ sustainability and innovation goals.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive and C-level stakeholders.
- Lead complex sales processes, including RFPs, procurement negotiations, and long-cycle deals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, legal, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Represent tozero at client meetings, industry events, and executive briefings.
- Identify and pursue new growth opportunities within existing accounts to drive revenue.
Required Qualifications
- 6–15 years of B2B sales or account management experience, ideally in cleantech, automotive, batteries, or industrial manufacturing.
- Proven track record managing large corporate accounts and closing complex, long-cycle deals.
- Hands-on experience with corporate RFPs, buying committees, and procurement processes.
- Demonstrated success in both new business development (hunter) and strategic account growth (farmer).
- Business-fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus.
- Background in chemistry or engineering preferred.
