Battery Technology

ACE’s technology portfolio centers on advanced lithium-ion battery chemistries, particularly their proprietary A-LFP™ (Advanced Lithium Iron Phosphate) and LFP SiOx™ technologies. The A-LFP™ chemistry delivers superior energy capacity and extended cycle life while maintaining competitive production costs. Their LFP SiOx™ innovation incorporates a Silicon Oxide Anode blended with graphite and enhanced electrolyte formulations, resulting in improved performance metrics.

The company has also developed LNFP (Lithium Nickel Iron Phosphate), a 4-volt solution offering high energy capacity at competitive costs. These technologies are available in multiple cell formats, including:

  • Cylindrical cells (21700 format)
  • Pouch cells (5Ah – 20Ah capacity range)
  • Prismatic cells (280Ah capacity)

ACE’s battery solutions achieve energy densities of up to 400 Wh/L, significantly advancing the capabilities of traditional LFP batteries. Their technologies are compatible with existing manufacturing infrastructure, allowing for straightforward integration into current production facilities.

Recent Projects

In May 2024, ACE announced the commercialization of their LFP SiOx battery chemistry, marking a significant advancement in silicon-based anode technology. August 2023 saw the successful shipment of high-energy-density A-LFP sample pouch cells to industry partners, achieving 400 Wh/L energy density. In July 2023, the company launched a new research and development laboratory dedicated to advancing their A-LFP+ and A-LNFP (Lithium Nickel Iron Phosphate) cell chemistries, material technologies, and large prismatic cell designs.
