The 2026 Li-ION BATTERY AFRICA conference will be held June 1–3, 2026 in Marrakech, Morocco. Organized by Shanghai Metals Market (SMM) and hosted at the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech, the event addresses technical, commercial and policy topics across the lithium-ion battery value chain. Sessions cover battery materials (pCAM/CAM, solid-state), mineral supply and processing (lithium, cobalt, graphite, phosphate), EV and energy storage systems, recycling and end-of-life management, gigafactory planning, and project financing and logistics. The program is aimed at senior executives, engineers, procurement managers, miners, refiners, recyclers, OEMs, investors and policymakers from Europe, the United States, Africa and other regions. Activities include presentations, panel discussions and scheduled one-to-one meetings supported by an event app to facilitate technical and commercial exchanges.
