The 15th Batterieforum Deutschland takes place from 19 to 21 January 2027 at the Ritz-Carlton in Berlin and online. Batterieverbund KLiB organises the congress with support from the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR); it is positioned as the annual kick-off of the German battery sector.

On day one, high-level speakers from industry, science and politics discuss batteries in Germany from different angles, including resilience, recycling, scaling production and industrial policy. Days two and three focus on scientific and technical topics such as cell chemistry and new active materials, with poster short presentations and start-up pitches.

An accompanying poster exhibition presents results of publicly funded research projects, with an award for the three best posters. Poster submission is open until 18 October 2026; ticket sales are expected to start in early December.
