EVE Energy and CEGASA ENERGIA S.L.U. have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding to jointly develop and deploy 1 GWh of energy storage capacity across Europe between 2026 and 2028. The agreement covers Commercial & Industrial and Utility-scale energy storage systems (ESS), with EVE Energy supplying advanced battery products and solutions and providing technical assistance to enhance operational efficiency and enable localized service for end users.
This partnership combines EVE Energy’s battery technology expertise with CEGASA’s nearly century-long experience in the Spanish renewable energy market. Both companies will follow a “global technology + local insight” cooperation model. They plan to leverage EVE Energy’s CLS global collaboration framework and pursue localized manufacturing to support competitive clean energy solutions across European markets.
Under the MoU, EVE Energy will deliver safe, reliable battery modules and system components, while CEGASA will handle project development, installation, and maintenance. By pooling their strengths, the partners aim to accelerate the deployment of grid-connected storage that can balance renewable generation, provide peak-shaving services, and support grid stability amid rising demand for flexible energy solutions.
Oscar Chan, General Manager of EVE Energy’s International Sales Center, said that CEGASA’s solid technical foundation and market insight make it an ideal partner. “Combining EVE Energy’s products with CEGASA’s local capabilities will bring greater value to our customers,” he noted.
Fernando Aguado, President of the Board at CEGASA, added that the collaboration not only expands CEGASA’s product offerings but also creates new growth opportunities under the CLS model and future initiatives.
Through this collaboration, EVE Energy strengthens its strategic presence in Europe and reaffirms its commitment to open cooperation with leading partners worldwide. Both companies intend to explore additional projects beyond the initial 1 GWh, aiming to support Europe’s clean energy transition with innovative storage solutions.
