On September 2, 2025, Graphite One Inc. announced that the U.S. Export-Import Bank (EXIM) has issued a non-binding Letter of Interest for up to US$570 million to support the development of its Graphite Creek mine in Alaska. This indication complements a US$325 million LOI received in October 2024 for the company’s planned advanced graphite materials facility in Ohio, raising total EXIM support for its U.S. supply chain strategy to US$895 million.

The LOI states: “Based on the preliminary information submitted, EXIM would be able to consider financing up to $570,000,000 of the U.S. export contract. Please note that based on the OECD Arrangement for Export Credits and EXIM Bank guidelines, this transaction is eligible for a maximum repayment term of 10 years. We trust that this Letter of Interest, coupled with the quality of U.S. products and services, will make a compelling case for U.S. procurement.”

In addition, Graphite One has engaged MCS Market Communication Service GmbH, a German marketing and investor relations firm, to enhance its visibility among European institutional and retail investors. The six-month engagement carries an aggregate marketing budget of €800,000 and covers content creation, distribution and advertising services. MCS will comply with applicable securities laws and exchange policies; no common shares or options will be issued as compensation.

Graphite One’s integrated supply chain strategy pairs natural flake graphite from its proposed Graphite Creek mine—identified by the U.S. Geological Survey as one of the world’s largest deposits—with an advanced graphite materials plant in Warren, Ohio. This vertically integrated operation is designed to produce lithium-ion battery anode materials and other graphite products for the U.S. market, aiming to reduce dependence on foreign graphite sources.
