Upcell announced the formation of its Advisory Board, a group of distinguished professionals drawn from industry, policy, finance, and academia. The board is tasked with guiding Upcell’s efforts to enhance battery manufacturing capacity across global regions and accelerate innovation throughout the battery value chain.
Initially launched in Europe in 2022 as the European Battery Manufacturing Alliance, Upcell has since extended its footprint to Asia and the Americas. The organization employs a “global with local-for-local” strategy to promote cross-regional knowledge sharing while supporting the development of regionally tailored battery ecosystems.

The Advisory Board is expected to advise on market trends, emerging technologies, and opportunities for international cooperation, thereby reinforcing the organization’s mission to drive sustainable, battery-powered growth.

Other board members include Gwenaelle Avice Huet, Executive Vice President of Europe Operations at Schneider Electric; Gareth Hagan, CEO of OCO Global; and Professor Emmanuel Trélat, Director of the Jacques-Louis Lions Laboratory at Sorbonne University. Together, this internationally representative team aims to support Upcell’s scalability and reinforce its position as a catalyst for collaboration and business development within the battery industry.
