DNB Asset Management (International) is a Luxembourg-based subsidiary of DNB Group, one of the largest financial services firms in the Nordic region. Operating from 13, rue Goethe, L-1637 Luxembourg, it serves institutional and individual investors with a suite of investment funds. It offers strategies for pension schemes, insurance portfolios and high-net-worth clients. As part of a broader group headquartered in Oslo, Norway, it draws on the group’s longstanding experience in fund management, delivering services such as fund research, pricing and compliance across European markets. Fund operations include publication of key investor information documents, monthly holdings reports and online subscription and redemption services.

The firm’s investment focus centers on Nordic markets and selected global equity themes, guided by a framework that incorporates environmental, social and governance factors. ESG analysis has been embedded in its process since 1988, supported by a dedicated responsible investment team. Research combines internal and external insights to assess potential holdings. Active ownership is exercised through proxy voting and direct engagement with company management on issues such as climate risks, emissions reduction, water stewardship, labor practices and board governance. The firm adheres to global standards including the United Nations Global Compact and the UN Principles for Responsible Investment. By the end of 2024, it had carried out more than 70 engagements on climate and emissions with portfolio companies.

While its core funds span a broad range of sectors, the firm offers thematic products with exposure to clean technology and battery innovation. DNB Miljøinvest focuses on companies improving resource efficiency and energy transition. DNB Fund Future Waves targets the energy transition, including battery value-chain companies, and DNB Fund Renewable Energy invests in businesses aligned with science-based emissions targets. Portfolio holdings include Northvolt, Tesla, Ads-Tec Energy and Boliden, and a watchlist features EOS Energy, Enovix, STEM, ESS and Fluence. Through these thematic offerings, the firm supports businesses that drive decarbonization and circular economy practices. For earlier venture-style opportunities, DNB Ventures supports start-ups beyond the scope of the asset management division.
