Highstar is building a 1.3 GWh lithium-ion and sodium-ion battery factory and a 6 GWh energy storage battery base. In Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, it is constructing a 61,000 m² production facility focused on energy storage, 5G communications, and smart grid applications, scheduled for completion in 2025.
Major investor Shanghai Pret Composites Co., Ltd. led a private placement of CNY 800M in 2023. Highstar also has strategic partnerships with government entities, including collaboration with the Zhuhai Municipal Government on sodium-ion battery development.
