Core technologies include the patented carbonate-to-metal (C2M) process that converts lithium carbonate into lithium metal with 40% less energy and no toxic chlorine off-gas, physical vapor deposition (PVD) for ultra-thin lithium metal anodes offering higher energy density and reduced material usage, and a scrap lithium reprocessing capability to convert waste into reusable ingots.
Ultra-thin lithium metal anodes produced via PVD technology; high-purity lithium metal ingots through C2M process; scrap lithium reprocessing systems for circular supply chain support.
In late 2024, Li-Metal sold its lithium metal production business to Arcadium Lithium plc for US$11 million, including a long-term supply agreement to secure lithium metal for its anode business, and is expanding anode production capabilities.
Li-Metal is publicly traded on the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE), OTCQB and Frankfurt Stock Exchange. No specific private investors have been disclosed. The company demonstrated a strategic partnership through an $11M transaction with Arcadium Lithium plc.
