SK tes focuses on recycling lithium-ion and EV batteries using proprietary inert crushing and vacuum drying processes to safely extract materials. The resulting “black mass”—rich in lithium, cobalt and nickel—is refined to up to 99% purity for direct reuse in new battery production, supporting a closed-loop supply chain.
The company provides managed IT deployment, data destruction and IT asset disposition (ITAD) services, as well as battery recycling services that include inert crushing, vacuum drying and purification of black mass to high-purity raw materials.
Operational flagship EV battery recycling facility in Rotterdam, Netherlands processing significant annual volumes for the European market; planned battery recycling facility in Newcastle, Australia scheduled for readiness in 2025 to expand global processing capacity.
SK tes is owned by SK ecoplant following its acquisition in 2022 for approximately $1B, integrating TES into SK ecoplant’s circular economy portfolio.
