Company Overview

StoreDot is an Israeli technology company specializing in extreme-fast charging (XFC) battery solutions for electric vehicles, founded in 2012 by Doron Myersdorf, Simon Litsyn, and Gil Rosenman. Its mission is to make energy accessible, safe, and efficient for drivers worldwide through advanced nanotechnology and proprietary compounds, addressing the barrier of EV charging speed and convenience.

Battery Technology

StoreDot’s core technology is silicon-based extreme-fast charging batteries that charge EVs in under 10 minutes. The batteries use silicon nanoparticle anodes compatible with existing lithium-ion production lines, combining organic and inorganic compounds optimized by AI for high energy density. The ‘100inX’ roadmap targets 100 miles from a 5-minute charge by 2024, 4 minutes by 2026, and 3 minutes by 2028. The technology includes safety features and thermal management and is demonstrated in large-format 165Ah prismatic and silicon-dominant 4695 cylindrical cells.

Products

Large-format 165Ah prismatic cells and silicon-dominant 4695 cylindrical EV battery cells optimized for extreme-fast charging, featuring AI-optimized organic/inorganic compound blends, advanced safety systems, and thermal management to support rapid charge cycles.

Recent Projects

In 2024, StoreDot demonstrated its XFC technology with Polestar, charging the Polestar 5 from 10% to 80% in 10 minutes. It engaged with 15 leading automakers, with six OEMs reaching B-sample development. In 2025, it introduced industry-first silicon-dominant 4695 cylindrical EV battery cells.

Investors

StoreDot is backed by VinFast (led its Series D in 2022) and BP Ventures, with additional investors including Golden Energy Global Investment Ltd., Daimler, Volvo, Polestar, Ola Electric, Samsung Ventures, and TDK. It partners with EVE Energy for manufacturing support.
