In 2024, formed a joint venture with General Motors for funding, development, construction, and operation of the Thacker Pass project. Secured a $2.26 billion loan from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing Program to support domestic lithium production.
Investors include General Motors as a joint venture partner; the U.S. Department of Energy Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing Program as a loan provider; and institutional and retail investors through public listings on the TSX and NYSE.
