LIVA’s core Hybrid ESS platform integrates high-power lithium-ion batteries with long-duration Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRFB), acquired in 2023. The system ranges from 4 to 100+ MWh, managed by the proprietary p7 software suite that uses machine learning for real-time optimization, demand prediction, and grid balancing. AMG’s vanadium supply chain ensures reliable VRFB materials. Features include rapid response, black-start capability, renewable smoothing, and sector-coupling support.
Hybrid ESS systems offering scalable energy storage from 4–100+ MWh, combining Li-ion for peak shaving and VRFB for long-cycle storage. The proprietary p7 software suite delivers intelligent control, machine learning optimization, demand forecasting, and grid interaction management. Solutions support emergency backup, renewable integration, and sector-coupling applications such as Power-to-Heat and Power-to-Gas.
As of 2024, LIVA has one operational Hybrid ESS in Hauzenberg, Germany, reducing energy costs for a manufacturing client; three projects under contractual development, including grid resilience storage for an automotive supplier’s assembly lines; and 15 bid-stage or preliminary projects totaling over 749 MWh across industries like steel production.
LIVA is backed by AMG Critical Materials N.V., a publicly traded specialty metals firm listed on Euronext Amsterdam with over 3,600 employees. AMG provides capital, strategic resources, and vanadium supply chain expertise to support LIVA’s VRFB manufacturing and global scale-up.
