Automotive Cells Company (ACC) has named Allan Swan as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective May 1, 2026. This leadership change, approved by ACC’s shareholders, underscores their confidence in Swan’s ability to guide the company through its planned industrial expansion and strengthen its role in Europe’s transition to electric mobility.
Swan joins ACC from Panasonic Energy USA, where he served as President and oversaw the successful ramp-up of two battery Gigafactories supplying a leading electric-vehicle manufacturer. His track record in scaling complex manufacturing operations and driving growth in high-volume production environments is expected to support ACC’s efforts to meet rising demand for EV batteries across Europe.
He succeeds Yann Vincent, ACC’s founding CEO, who is retiring after leading the company since its inception. Under Vincent’s tenure, ACC reached key milestones, including the commissioning of its first Gigafactory, the development of proprietary battery technologies, and the formation of a robust European industrial ecosystem for electric-vehicle battery production.
“Appointing Allan Swan as CEO highlights our shareholders’ commitment to ACC’s strategic vision,” said Alex Nediger, Chairman of ACC’s Board. “Allan’s expertise in large-scale battery manufacturing will be critical as we expand our footprint and reinforce our status as a pioneer in Europe’s EV battery sector. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Yann Vincent for his leadership and dedication in establishing ACC’s foundations.”
Swan commented on his appointment: “I am honored by the confidence shown by ACC’s shareholders. Building on the strong foundation laid by Yann Vincent and his team, I look forward to working with ACC’s workforce to accelerate growth, enhance our manufacturing capabilities, and support Europe’s ambition for clean, competitive, and energy-independent mobility.”
