EVE Energy has achieved a significant milestone in its global commercialization of large-scale energy storage solutions with the deployment of its Mr. Giant system in Australia. The system utilizes 628 ampere-hour (Ah) battery cells and highlights the company’s capabilities in system design, manufacturing and international project delivery.
Australia’s rapid expansion of renewable energy, coupled with the gradual retirement of coal-fired power plants, has increased the demand for reliable, large-capacity, long-duration energy storage. The Mr. Giant system is engineered to meet these requirements, integrating high-capacity batteries within a streamlined architecture to support renewable generation integration, peak shaving, and frequency regulation—functions that are essential for maintaining grid stability during periods of variable power supply.
Designed for flexibility, the system allows up to four units to operate in parallel and packs 5 megawatt-hours (MWh) of storage capacity into a standard 20-foot container, optimizing space use on site. Safety features include a full-chain management system covering battery cells through to operational oversight, along with multi-tiered fire prevention measures that align with Australian regulatory standards. Acoustic and structural enhancements keep noise levels below 65 decibels, reducing disturbance in neighboring communities.
EVE Energy’s 628Ah battery technology has already seen deployment in a 400 MWh independent energy storage project in China, where it proved its performance under large-scale applications. The system’s launch in the Australian market marks a key step in its global rollout, demonstrating market readiness for high-end energy storage solutions.
To support growing international demand, EVE Energy is bolstering its global logistics framework, localized delivery services and technical support network. The company intends to expand partnerships and collaborative initiatives to deliver efficient, safe and cost-effective energy storage offerings, contributing to the worldwide transition to clean and sustainable power systems.
This deployment underscores EVE Energy’s commitment to enabling the energy transition through advanced storage technologies.
