Anaphite’s core innovation is their proprietary Dry Coating Process (DCP) technology, producing fully formulated carbon nanotube enhanced composite cathode powders for NMC and LFP batteries. This solvent-free process reduces energy consumption by up to 90%, improves electrical conductivity and battery performance, and is compatible with existing manufacturing lines. It is also adaptable for next-generation batteries like sodium-ion and solid-state.
Anaphite produces composite cathode materials using their DCP technology, designed specifically for NMC and LFP lithium-ion batteries. Their products feature carbon nanotube enhanced composite powders aimed at reducing production costs and environmental impact while improving battery performance and manufacturing efficiency.
Recent projects include successful industrial-scale demonstrations of their dry coating technology in 2023, partnerships with leading battery cell manufacturers and automotive OEMs, and production scale-up at their Bristol facility. Anaphite is expanding in South Korea with consultancy support to strengthen relationships with battery makers there. Their technology is being validated by Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs for cost savings, production speed, and regulatory compliance with commercial EV production targeted by 2028.
Anaphite secured a $13.7M Series A round co-led by World Fund and Maniv, with participation from EEI, Nesta, Elbow Beach Capital and Wealth Club. Earlier funding included a $31.6M round led by Elbow Beach Capital and grants from Innovate UK. Investors focus on clean technology and mobility, supporting scale-up, R&D and commercial deployment of Anaphite’s dry electrode coating technology.
