Bosch Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of the Bosch Group, headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, with additional offices in Frankfurt, Sunnyvale, Boston, Tel Aviv and Shanghai. The team identifies and supports early-stage startups worldwide, offering both financial backing and access to Bosch’s global resources. By working closely with entrepreneurs, Bosch Ventures aims to accelerate the development and market introduction of technologies that improve daily life and drive industrial progress.
The firm focuses on seed and Series A/B investments in areas that align with Bosch’s core strengths, including artificial intelligence, energy efficiency, automation, mobility solutions, semiconductors, industrial technologies and health care innovations. Typical investments reach up to €25 million, and equity positions generally remain under 25 percent to foster balanced partnerships. Beyond capital, portfolio companies benefit from collaboration opportunities with Bosch business units and guidance from industry experts across multiple regions.
Clean technology and battery innovation form an important part of Bosch Ventures’ strategy. In 2024, the firm invested in a German startup that has developed proprietary processes to recycle lithium-ion batteries, recovering materials such as lithium, graphite, nickel, cobalt and manganese for reuse. Bosch Ventures also backed a North Carolina company advancing advanced recycling methods for electric vehicle batteries. These projects support resource conservation and help build sustainable energy ecosystems for transportation and grid storage.
