Specializing in Series A and B financings, ENV typically commits €1 million to €5 million per company, targeting ventures with proven technologies and scalable models at the growth stage. Beyond capital, ENV provides startups with access to ENGIE’s technical resources, customer network, and operational support. Investment areas include renewable power generation, low-carbon hydrogen production, thermal energy decarbonization, smart energy management, carbon capture and utilization, energy efficiency in buildings and industry, and advanced energy storage solutions.
As a dedicated backer of energy transition innovations, ENV has invested in more than 50 startups worldwide. Its portfolio features Connected Energy, which repurposes second-life electric vehicle batteries into flexible storage systems deployed across Europe; H2SITE, specializing in on-site production of green hydrogen; and Ineratec, which turns hydrogen and carbon dioxide into carbon-neutral fuels. ENV also supports companies in carbon removal, biogas purification, and modular microgrid projects, underscoring its focus on sustainable growth and diversified clean technology investments.
