GT1 is developing a three-stage integrated lithium production system: Stage 1 spodumene concentrate production at the Seymour Lithium Project (operations from 2026); Stage 2 a lithium conversion facility with EcoPro Innovation using advanced hydrometallurgical extraction to produce battery-grade lithium hydroxide; Stage 3 planned Thunder Bay processing plant with automated quality control to ensure consistent high-purity lithium materials.
Spodumene concentrate produced at the Seymour Lithium Project; battery-grade lithium hydroxide manufactured via hydrometallurgical processing technologies at the planned Thunder Bay plant, designed to meet strict EV battery manufacturer quality standards.
In 2024 GT1 expanded exploration targets and reported positive drill results in Ontario. It secured a C$100 million Letter of Interest from Export Development Canada for the Seymour Lithium Project and initiated planning for a Thunder Bay lithium processing plant scheduled to commence operations by 2030.
