Revex has developed proprietary mineral processing solutions for mine ore concentrate, mine tailings, and recycled lithium-ion batteries. Its REV Nickel Project comprises three facilities in Marquette County, Michigan: the Eagle Paste Facility uses flotation to produce paste backfill and nickel iron sulfide; the reClaim Facility applies fluidized bed roasting and reduction to generate Green Nickel Concentrate; and the reCover Facility employs grinding and mechanical separation to recover cobalt, nickel, and lithium from spent batteries.
Produces paste backfill and nickel iron sulfide from mine waste; Green Nickel Concentrate via roasting and reduction; and recovered cobalt, nickel, and lithium from recycled lithium-ion batteries. Capable of supplying domestic nickel for approximately 500,000 electric vehicle batteries annually.
Secured $145 million in DOE funding and $50 million from Michigan’s Make it in Michigan Competitiveness Fund in 2023 to develop a multi-plant ecosystem. Construction scheduled to begin in 2024, creating 115 clean tech jobs, 360 construction jobs, and supporting 425 existing positions.
In 2023, Revex Technologies received $145M from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains and $50M from the State of Michigan’s Make it in Michigan Competitiveness Fund; no private investors have been publicly disclosed.
