Battery Technology

Samsung SDI Hungary manufactures state-of-the-art prismatic battery cells, including the advanced P6 series with over 91% nickel cathodes and over 10% silicon-carbon anodes, under the PRiMX brand. The facility uses advanced materials science and precise production techniques for both cell production and module assembly, ensuring high energy density, performance, safety, and reliability for EV applications.

The major investors of Samsung SDI Hungary include Samsung Electronics with a 19.6% stake, the National Pension Service with 7.5%, BlackRock with 5.0%, the Samsung Foundation of Culture with 0.6%, and the Samsung Welfare Foundation with 0.3%. Additionally, the Hungarian government has provided HUF 5.5B in support for R&D.
