TerraFlow Energy’s core innovation is an advanced organic flow battery using a water-based, non-toxic electrolyte that eliminates thermal runaway risks. Its systems maintain over 90% capacity for 20+ years across 20,000–40,000 cycles, employ carbon-neutral manufacturing powered by solar energy, and use abundant organic materials. The batteries are scalable from 1 MW to 10 MW, feature rapid response times, reduced maintenance, a proprietary hydraulic management system for optimized fluid dynamics, and redundancy features for fail-safe operation.
TerraFlow offers flow battery systems scalable from 1 MW to 10 MW configurations, featuring non-flammable, water-based electrolytes, a hydraulic management system, and a cycle life of 20,000–40,000 cycles with over 90% capacity retention for 20+ years. It has also developed a 50 kW Sandbox Environment testing platform for evaluating stack configurations, control systems, and scalability ahead of its planned 1 MW deployment.
In 2025, TerraFlow launched a 50 kW Sandbox Environment to test flow battery stack configurations, hydraulic management systems, and DC controls in real-world conditions, and plans to deploy a 1 MW storage system that year for utility and industrial clients.
TerraFlow has a strategic partnership and equity integration with Pneumatic & Hydraulic Co. (P&H). Other investors remain undisclosed.
