Durapower Holdings Pte Ltd, established in 2009, is a Singapore-based manufacturer of lithium-ion battery systems and solutions. The company specializes in developing and producing advanced battery cells while providing integrated energy storage solutions for electric mobility, marine applications, and stationary power systems. With operations spanning 23 countries and 48 cities worldwide, Durapower has successfully reduced carbon emissions by over 553 million kilograms through its innovative battery solutions. The company’s expertise extends across the entire battery value chain, from materials research and development to system integration and second-life applications.
Battery Technology
Durapower’s technology portfolio includes two main product lines: Durapower CascadeTM and Durapower EverFlowTM. The CascadeTM series features soft-pouch Nickel Manganese Cobalt-oxide (NMC) battery cells, designed specifically for automotive applications. These cells deliver high energy density and superior charge-discharge capabilities, making them ideal for electric and hybrid vehicles.
The EverFlowTM series utilizes soft-pouch Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cells, known for their extended cycle life and stable voltage output. These batteries serve various applications, including stationary energy storage systems and uninterruptible power supplies. Both technologies incorporate advanced safety features and smart battery management systems.
Durapower has also developed DP Pulse, a digital platform that uses machine learning to monitor battery performance and predict remaining useful life. This system optimizes energy efficiency and helps maintain battery health throughout its operational lifecycle.
Recent Projects
In 2024, Durapower initiated construction of a new intelligent battery manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China. Scheduled for completion in Q2 2025, this facility will feature three production lines and an R&D center, doubling the company’s production capacity to 2.0 GWh annually. The company also launched the DP NEXT assembly plant in Thailand, partnering with Banpu NEXT to support electric bus and heavy-duty vehicle adoption in the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, Durapower signed an agreement with U Power Limited to explore battery swapping technology applications for electric vehicles.
Investors
Banpu NEXT Company Limited, a subsidiary of Banpu Public Company Limited, is the primary investor in Durapower Holdings. In February 2023, Banpu NEXT increased its ownership from 47.68% to 65.10% through a USD 70 million investment, making Durapower its subsidiary. This strategic investment aims to expand Banpu NEXT’s presence in the energy storage market.
