Impact Clean Power Technology S.A. (ICPT) stands as a prominent manufacturer of advanced battery systems, established in 2011 in Poland. The company specializes in designing and producing energy storage solutions for transportation, industrial applications, and stationary power systems. With over 20,000 battery systems delivered and more than 4,200 electric buses operating with their technology, ICPT has demonstrated significant expertise in sustainable energy solutions. Their commitment to innovation is supported by a team of 300+ employees, including 100+ engineers dedicated to developing new battery technologies and solutions.

Battery Technology

ICPT focuses on three main lithium-ion battery chemistries: Lithium-Titanate-Oxide (LTO), Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP), and Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC). The company’s product portfolio includes the UVES POWER GEN 3.0 series, UVES RAIL ENERGY GEN 3.0 NMC, UVES FLEX, and H2 MAX systems. Their solutions range from 186-372 kWh battery cabinets to 4 MWh container installations.

The company’s technical advantage lies in its proprietary Battery Management System (BMS), which enables precise control and optimization of battery performance. This technology allows ICPT to remain adaptable to various cell technologies while maintaining high safety and efficiency standards. Their manufacturing facility, GigafactoryX, currently produces 1.2 GWh annually, with plans to increase capacity to 5 GWh by 2027.

Recent Projects

In a significant development, ICPT secured a multi-year agreement with LG Energy Solution for the supply of NCM lithium-ion battery modules. This partnership supports the production of approximately 3,000 commercial electric vehicles over three years. The company has also advanced its GigafactoryX project, implementing automated production lines powered by solar energy, with half of the raw materials sourced through sustainable channels.

Investors

The FAMUR Group, now known as Grenevia Group, acquired a majority stake in ICPT in 2022. This acquisition was facilitated by TDJ, which owns the Grenevia Group. TDJ provides strategic support through its Business Excellence teams, focusing on improving operational effectiveness, scaling operations, and securing financing. Previously, Warsaw Equity Group held ownership until 2013, when it sold its stake to private investors.
