SERMA Technologies offers battery market capabilities across the entire value chain, emphasizing validation, maintenance, and recycling. Since 2010, it has expertise in lithium-ion batteries from cells to modules and packs up to 150 kWh and BMS. It conducts material and electrochemical analyses for emerging chemistries (hydrogen, hybrid), provides electrical, thermal, mechanical, and abuse testing compliant with international standards (UN38.3, ECE R100, KMVSS, GB), uses simulation tools for performance and lifespan prediction, and offers industrialization consulting, including assembly line guidance, regulatory certification (R100-02), and technology selection. The BATTENA program delivers AR-based training in battery manufacturing, diagnostics, safety, reliability, and recycling.
SERMA Technologies provides comprehensive battery testing and safety solutions for the e-mobility industry, including abuse testing of cells, modules, packs, and entire vehicles under extreme thermal, mechanical, electrical, and environmental conditions. Their services ensure compliance with international standards, support regulatory and customer-specific protocols, and include consulting, materials analysis, and training, positioning SERMA as a trusted partner for battery safety, performance validation, and risk management.
In 2024, SERMA Technologies entered a six-year battery validation partnership with Automotive Cells Company supporting gigafactory development and commissioned a 5,000 m² battery test center. In 2025, a 6,500 m² Martillac test center with 192 cell channels and >1 MW test benches was planned, alongside a photovoltaic park fire analysis report. A multi-year contract with Renault continues for EV battery testing services.
SERMA Technologies’ majority shareholders are the company’s management and approximately 500 employees; its minority investors include Ardian (since 2015), Chequers Capital, and Bpifrance.
