Battery Technology

Tenpower specializes in cylindrical Li-ion cell design with core formats 18650 and 21700, leveraging LiFePO₄ (LFP) and NCM/NCA chemistries for high power density, thermal stability, and rapid charging. Additional 26700 LFP cells focus on reliability and longevity. R&D efforts include sodium-ion development and process improvements for safety, energy density, and recyclability. Quality control is maintained via a multi-layer system managed by seven dedicated teams, focusing solely on cell manufacturing in collaboration with OEMs.

Recent Projects

2024 completion of Phase 1 at Malaysia plant for strategic international expansion. • 3.6 GWh (700 million cells) expansion at Zhangjiagang facility backed by 1.26 billion CNY. • “Mission to Mars” collaboration with Einhell: supply of 100 million+ cells for Power X-Change modular platform.

Investors

Tenpower is a subsidiary of Jiangsu Azure Corporation (formerly Aucksun). In 2023, the parent company invested $280M to establish Tenpower’s lithium battery production base in Malaysia. Overall, Tenpower has been backed by over 10B CNY in cumulative investments. There are no public details on minority shareholders or external VC/PE investors.
