Ampere Energy’s core technology centers on lithium-ion battery systems integrated with advanced software and power electronics. They configure battery systems (not manufacturing cells) using their proprietary SEMS software, which leverages AI, machine learning, big data analytics, and real-time data such as weather forecasts and energy pricing to optimize solar self-consumption and load balancing. Their products like SEMS Square Pro and T-Pro modular systems and the E-Loop EV charger enable integration with photovoltaic installations and smart grid functionalities.
Key products include the SEMS Square Pro (3–6 kWh) and T-Pro (12–36 kWh) modular battery systems catering to homes and small businesses, and the E-Loop bidirectional EV charger enabling vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-grid energy transfer. These products combine hardware and software to enhance energy efficiency, renewable energy utilization, and electromobility support.
Ampere Energy developed the Amperia Virtual Power Plant (VPP) Platform in collaboration with Spanish energy stakeholders to aggregate energy resources for decentralized grid systems. They secured $5 million in Series A funding in early 2025 to expand VPP capabilities. They also continue enhancing their SEMS software with improved AI algorithms for predictive energy forecasting and IoT/cloud-based monitoring. Their R&D collaboration with Spain’s ITE Institute on the EVA project focuses on electromobility and energy storage innovations.
Ampere Energy’s investors are:
• COPEC, holding a 65.2% stake as of 2025
• Avaana Capital, which led a $5M Series A round in 2025
• UC Impower
• Angel investors
• EIT InnoEnergy, supporting R&D efforts
These partners provide capital and technical expertise to scale operations and develop projects such as the Amperia VPP system.
