Avatr Technology, the electric vehicle brand supported by Changan Automobile, CATL and Huawei, has formally entered the Greek market through a cooperation agreement with Autohellas, one of Greece’s leading automotive groups. The deal, signed on Monday, is part of Avatr’s broader European strategy for 2026, which aims to achieve global annual sales of 800,000 units within the next five years.

Autohellas operates across car distribution, retail, long-term leasing and mobility services, with a presence in Greece, the Balkans, Cyprus and Portugal. Its Velmar dealership network currently represents several major international brands, including Ford, Opel, Volvo, Hyundai, Kia, BMW and Mini. The new partnership extends the collaboration between Autohellas and Changan Automobile, which began in May 2025 with a vehicle distribution agreement under an “in Europe, for Europe” approach.

To date, Changan’s Deepal brand models—the S07 SUV and S05 sedan—have already launched in Greece. Avatr has indicated that it will complete its initial European market entries by the end of this year and has so far expanded into more than 40 countries and regions worldwide. The company reports that its overseas operations are running smoothly and have reached profitability.

At the Chongqing Auto Show earlier this year, Avatr unveiled a five-year development plan targeting annual global sales of 800,000 units, with 40% of those coming from overseas markets spanning over 110 countries and regions. Avatr’s current product lineup includes both sedan and SUV models, and the company has recently teased its all-new 07L family luxury SUV, co-developed with Huawei’s Qiankun team. The upcoming model is expected to feature Huawei’s 896-channel LiDAR sensor and ADS advanced smart driving system, with pricing positioned above the existing Avatr 07.
